2025-2029 Prof. Dr. Ana Maria Frattini Fileti Vice President for Research Ana Maria Frattini Fileti is a chemical engineer, graduated from the State University of Campinas in 1989. She holds a master's degree (1992) and a doctorate (1995) in Chemical Engineering from Unicamp. Since then, she has worked in the area of control and automation of chemical processes, developing artificial intelligence applications. Professor at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FEQ) from 1996, she became a full professor in the area of Process Control in 2000, and Full Professor in 2016.
She is a CNPq productivity scholarship holder in Technological Development and Innovative Extension (2020-present). Author of the book “Tudo sob(re) controle – Fundamentos e estudos de caso”, published in 2023 by Editora Blucher, and awarded the Jabuti Academic Award in the “Engineering” area, in 2024.
At Unicamp, she was coordinator of the postgraduate program in Chemical Engineering and vice-president of the Central Postgraduate Commission (2001-2002), head of the Department of Chemical Systems Engineering at FEQ (2003-2005), Associate Director (2005-2006) and Director of the Multidisciplinary Center for Chemical, Biological and Agricultural Research - CPQBA (2006-2009), advisor to the Pro-Rectory of Postgraduate Studies - PRPG and president of the organizing committee of the Teaching Internship Program (2013-2015), Director of the Innovation Agency Inova Unicamp (2021-2024) and Pro-Rector of Research (2024-2025).
In 2016, she presided over the15thIASTED International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Control. He was a member of the Evaluation Committee for the Engineering II area of CAPES (2010-2014) and served as a specialist designated by the State Council of Education for the recognition of undergraduate courses in the State of São Paulo (2008-2014). He is a member of the board of directors of the National Association for Research and Development of Innovative Companies - ANPEI (2024-2026) and also served as a member of the Superior Council of Micro, Small and Medium Industry of FIESP (2022-2024).
Named among the top 0,5% of academics in the world by the ScholarGPS 2024 ranking, in the area of Development Testing, in 2023, she received the “Zeferino Vaz” academic recognition Award from Unicamp and, in 2019, the teaching recognition award for her dedication to undergraduate teaching. In 2020, she received the “Petrobrás Inventor” Award.
