The objective of the Voluntary Scientific Initiation Program is to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to learn the scientific method and techniques in their field of study through the development of a research project, under the guidance of a UNICAMP research professor. The UNICAMP Voluntary Scientific Initiation Program follows the same schedule and selection process as the traditional Scientific Initiation Program (PIBIC), however, in this modality there is no payment of monthly stipends.

Project Application
In the first stage of registration, the student must select the option "Voluntary Initiation (without scholarship)".
Important: Active professors with an employment relationship with Unicamp and Teaching, Research and Extension Support Professionals (PAEPE) accredited under the terms of Resolution CEPE-A-006/2022, in addition to PQ career researchers and Voluntary Collaborating Professors/Researchers (only retired Unicamp professors) may act as advisors.
In the 2nd stage of registration, the research project must be a PDF file with a maximum of 8 pages containing:
- Summary
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Responsibilities/activities of the student candidate in the project
- Activity schedule (monthly, bimonthly or quarterly)
- References
- If the student is from another institution, their academic transcript must be attached at the end of the project.
Registration of the Lattes curricula of both the student and the advisor is mandatory for submitting the application.
