PIBIC Award for Scientific Merit
The Dean of Research at UNICAMP appointed a Internal Advisory Committee The committee responsible for the pre-selection of the best works submitted to the XXXIII UNICAMP Scientific Initiation Congress was composed of representatives from the areas of Arts, Humanities, Biological Sciences, Exact Sciences, and Technology. This committee was responsible for classifying, in each area, the works that distinguished themselves by their scientific quality. In each area, approximately ten percent of the UNICAMP students who applied to compete for the PIBIC Award were selected.
The submitted works were also evaluated by doctoral students from UNICAMP and some external professors during the in-person event.
Between November 17th and 19th, 2025, a second stage was held, in a virtual format, only with the students selected in each of the major areas.
O External Advisory Committee The CNPq representative, composed of professors from other universities, was responsible for evaluating the pre-selected candidates and choosing the best works presented by UNICAMP students.
In this edition, in celebration of Unicamp's 60th anniversary, 60 works will be recognized for their scientific excellence.
The 20 students awarded with the Unicamp Scientific Merit will receive a cash prize worth a gross of R$3.500,00.
Furthermore, the authors and supervisors of the 40 works classified after those awarded with Scientific Merit will receive the Certificate of Honorable Mention, as a form of recognition, without any monetary award.

SBQ-Regional Campinas Scientific Initiation Award – 2025
1. The main authors, undergraduate students, who present the three best posters/papers at the XXXIII UNICAMP Scientific Initiation Congress in the area of Chemistry, which will be held from October 22 to 24, 2025, will be awarded by SBQ-Regional Campinas with registration and a daily allowance of R$250,00 for their participation in the 49th Annual Meeting of the SBQ, to be held in Campinas/SP in 2026;
2. The Evaluation Committee will be appointed by the PIBIC Congress Organizing Committee (PRP/UNICAMP);
3. The Evaluation Committee will indicate a list containing 10 names/works, in order of priority;
4. If the first three placed candidates are unable to participate in the SBQ Annual Meeting, the next placed candidates will be considered, provided they are undergraduate students and main authors of the papers;
5. To be eligible for the award, the student or advisor must be up to date with their annual dues to the Society. To receive the award, the awarded undergraduate student must be a member of the SBQ, and may join after the award results are published.
6. The winning student must register and generate a payment slip for the promotional amount in a timely manner (2 business days) for the Secretariat to make the payment;
7. Any omissions will be resolved by the SBQ Regional Secretariat, which will make the final decision on granting the prize.
