1. How will the 2025 PIBIC Congress be held?
The Unicamp Scientific Initiation Congress will be held in person between the days 22 and 24 October 2025.
The event is held in the format of a poster session at UNICAMP's Multidisciplinary Gymnasium.
Lectures will also be held at UNICAMP's Convention Center (CDC).
2. Who can participate in the event?
Registration for CI work exhibitors is intended for participants in the PIBIC, PIBITI, PIBIC-EM and PICV programs at Unicamp and other students from institutions that have recently developed CI activities, with or without funding.
The event will also be open to all interested parties.
3. I am an external student and I did CI outside Unicamp, can I participate in the event as an exhibitor?
Yes, it is possible to participate in the event as an exhibitor; There will be a registration limit for external students. The rules remain the same regarding registration, but it will be necessary to indicate, during registration, the HEI to which you belong.
External students will not compete for the PIBIC Award.
6. What is the ideal format for the abstract requested when registering for the event?
It is recommended that the abstract be sent in the “expanded” format, with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 pages, containing the project objectives, a brief description of the research and the results obtained.
You can insert images, graphics, or whatever you prefer to illustrate your search.
We provide templates in “.doc”, “.ppt” and “.odt” in the section Registrations to facilitate the organization of summaries.
6.1. Am I obliged to use one of the models available?
Not. Although recommended, the use of templates is not mandatory. However, if you prefer to use a template other than those available, on the first page of the abstract must obligatorily include:
- Event header: (available at Registrations);
- Title of the research to be presented;
- 3 Keywords;
- Names of authors and institutions.
5. Does the exhibitor need to create a poster to present his/her research?
Yes, the event will be held in the form of a poster session. The creation and printing of the poster will be the responsibility of the exhibiting student.
4. I want to participate only as a visitor / listener, what should I do?
The visitor will have access to the lectures and the poster exhibition, without the need for accreditation.
Certificates will not be awarded to visitors.
7. I recently started my PIBIC project (quota 2025-2026), do I have a commitment to participate in this year's event?
Not. Only students who have completed or are in the process of completing their research should participate in the event.
If you were approved in the 2025-2026 quota, your registration must only be made for the 2026 event.
8. I'm an undergraduate student at Unicamp and I want to apply for the PIBIC Award. What should I do?
Simply select this award type on your entry form. Ready! You will already be running.
After the end of registration, all received research will be analyzed by an internal committee, formed by Unicamp professors. This committee will be responsible for pre-selecting approximately ten percent of the papers that stand out for their scientific quality.
The pre-selected authors will be evaluated, during the poster presentations, by an Advisory Committee representing the CNPq, invited by the Dean of Research.
The Advisory Committee representing CNPq will be responsible for choosing the 20 best works presented by Unicamp students.
