The Vice-Rectorate for Research (PRP) at Unicamp is strongly committed to supporting affirmative action in research, recognizing the importance of incorporating themes, epistemologies, and modes of knowledge production from social groups that are becoming more representative within the university.
PRP has been actively seeking to support the inclusion of these groups in research systems, creating specific mechanisms to address identified challenges, such as gender inequalities in scientific production and the difficulties faced by indigenous students in accessing scientific initiation programs.
This initiative aims to establish a two-way street between the university and the communities, producing positive impacts on both sides and strengthening diversity and representation in academic research.
